Vantage Aerial Works was brought onto the production to capture cinematic, broadcast-ready aerial cinematography of Caddo Correctional Center for Lucky 8’s production of 120 Hours Behind Bars, a documentary series airing on Discovery Channel.
Our mission was to capture a series of smooth, cinematic establishing shots of the facility. The operation required professional coordination, including securing LAANC airspace authorization, direct permission from the prison, and an escort by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office PIO (Public Information Officer).
The finished footage appears in Season 1, Episode 4, “Caddo Parish Correctional Center,” of Discovery Channel’s 120 Hours Behind Bars. Several of our aerial shots are also featured in Discovery’s official episode recap, “Contraband Crisis.”
